Allure Beauty Box | Review

Hey guys! Back again with another blog! I’ll be reviewing the Allure beauty box – the price, the shipping and the contents.
Price: The Allure Beauty Box subscription prices – $15 per month or $150 per year.

But as a first timer, you get $5 off your first box and a full size Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hr Blush

Shipping: This was my first beauty box ever and I thought I was getting scammed because it took about a week or two to receive my shipping confirmation and before then I was already charged $15 for my second box which made me even more paranoid and I had to cancel my subscription and ask for a refund which I was told wasn’t possible.

The day I got my shipping confirmation was the day I received my box. Shipping was free.

Contents: Alltogether I got 7 items + a coupon and a mini-mag. Compared to the sephora beauty box, the products sizes are quite bigger and there are more products in the box which makes sense because the sephora box is just $10 monthly.

The mini-mag has a bit of beauty tips and an insight of the products in your beauty box which I think is cool because I don’t really know much about makeup and most of what I got I didn’t know their use until I peeked inside.

I also got a coupon for a monthly tasting box which I can’t wait to try and share it with you guys.

Juice Beauty phyto-pigments Luminous Lip Crayon in Malibu. I had to use a liner and top it off with gloss as seen in the picture and I prefer it that way. I wouldn’t pay $22 for this which is the price. The color is cute but every other thing feels and looks cheap. Rating: 4

Moda MythicalCrease Brush. Honestly, I used it to apply my highlighter and I love the way it blends. $16.84 for a 6 piece set. Rating: 7

BriogeoDontDespair, Repair! DeepConditioningMask. Haven’t tried this yet because I still have my braids on and I’m not sure if this would work on my black natural hair.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer. To me, it feels like any other primer I’ve used but lighter, smells better and glittery. $52 for full size. Rating: 6

Skin & Co Roma Truffle Therapy Eye Concentrate. Does it work? I have no idea, I don’t have eye wrinkles, lol. It’s supposed to hydrate and firm the skin to reduce appearance of eye wrinkles. $66 for full size.

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum. Actually feels like silk and blends smoothly on the face. $45 for full size. Rating: 8

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator. Ilike how it feels on the skin during application, I’ve only used it once and I have high hopes for it. $58 for full size. Rating: 8

General Thought: The Allure Beauty Box isn’t bad at all. Rating: 7. Would I subscribe again? Honestly, for now, it’s a no only because I hate the fact that it takes too long to ship and you’re being charged for products you’re yet to see and I’m waiting to see if my second box would arrive. I didn’t get the Tarte Blush (new members gift) maybe ’cause I cancelled my subscription 😂.

Let me know which products you’ve tried and your thoughts on them. Are you subscribed to Allure beauty box? Let me know your experience. All in the comment section.

  1. Oh no! Hate it that you don’t like the packaging! Gwyneth Paltrow, myself and our marketing team designed it! We do have more luxurious packaged lip Creams, Liquid Lip and Glosses but this is designed to be more of a “chubby” and a crayon! xo Karen Behnke, Founder, Juice Beauty.
